12 DEAD, 7 INJURED AND 1 UNHURT IN ROAD ACCIDENT IN BENGUET

CAMP BADO DANGWA, Benguet— Twelve were declared dead, seven injured and one unhurt as a Ford Fiera plunged into an 80 meter ravine in Benguet on June 8.

 

A report reaching Chief Supt. Benjamin Magalong, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-Cor) said, they Fiera with plate no. AAD 784, driven by Ambocio Menzi Jr. was heading for Abatan, Buguias from Natubleng, Buguias along Halsema Highway, particularly in sitio Bayoyo, Buyacaoan, Buguias, when they met the accident.

 

Initial investigation said the driver lost control o the vehicle due to a sudden downpour and foggy environment.

 

Declared dead are: Biana Olsim, Manuel Langbis, Bino Waclin, Melania Madiano, Alfredo Pattian, Ferdilyn Iguado, Armaldo Madiano, Kimberly Waclin, Erna Tosay, Melanio Iguado, Marrieta Gaspil and Melin Dasdas.

Meanwhile, those injured were identified as: Basilio Baldos, Oronio Agyapas, Ambrocio Menzi, Nicole Waclin, Wela Waclin, Braille Waclin and Menzi.

Jerry Bisaya, another passenger was reported as unhurt and out of danger.—larry madarang
